The MF-101S Lowpass Filter represents a contemporary take on Moog Music’s renowned Moogerfooger MF-101 analog effects pedal.

The original MF-101 Lowpass Filter, a hardware unit introduced in 1998, featured two comprehensive modular components: a traditional, fully analog 4-pole Lowpass Filter coupled with an envelope follower that adds dynamic movement to the filtered sound. Conceived by Bob Moog and his team of engineers, the MF-101 was a direct successor of the initial Moog modular synthesizers, adapted to manipulate, modulate, and experiment with various inputs such as guitar, voice, synthesizer, and countless other audio sources.

The transition of the MF-101 Lowpass Filter into the digital realm has been meticulously executed in the form of the MF-101S. This reinterpretation not only captures the rich and lively tonality of the original device but also replicates the natural way in which its parameters interact to deliver a harmonious musical experience.

The MF-101S is now available as an AUv3 effects plug-in, requiring a compatible host or Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for operation.
